Why go with a gooseneck trailer as opposed to a bumper pull?
Personally I just love the way a goosneck trailer pulls. I have driven 250,000 miles in the last 3 years and I have hauled 24' enclosed bumper pull trailers, 40' gooseneck enclosed trailers, 20' and 16' flat bed car hauler/utility trailers and gooseneck flat bed utility-"lowboy" trailers.
I have been fortunate to have nice equipment no matter what I pulled.
But I have found the gooseneck to be more capable in stability and pay load! You take a 20' flat bed, utility, car hauler bumper pull trailer with 7k (14,000 GVWR) axles and then pull a 20' gooseneck flat bed, utility, car hauler trailer with the same 7k Dexter axles and you will notice the difference.
A properly loaded goosneck does not buck near as much as a bumper pull trailer on rough terrain/poorly managed roads which seems to be the standard in our great nation with these folks we have leading us but....ahem! not to get side tracked from the point here which is trailers!
Give it a thought. Think about the big rigs...how many of them pull from the rear end of their trucks? Not many. Most big trucks/CDL drivers have a trailer that mounts into what is essentially the bed of their truck- over the axles...just like smaller trucks pull.

Smoother more stable ride.
Greater payloads.
Turning radius for those tight spots- being capable of completely jack knifing your rig without damage is a benefit not to be ignored. Espescially for roofers, car haulers, hay hauling/farmers, remodelers- anyone that needs to get their truck in tight spots like car lots, roadsides, drive-ways, parking lots, fields, feed lots, lumber yards etc. Goosenecks turn, back and steer sweeeeet!
